Test report suggests TB ?
Hi Doctor, My father has chronic coughing and congestion without any fever or so. Recently he underwent a test where doctor said that his lungs are filled with water. Now his test reports have come and it seems confusing what it is suggesting. Could you plz throw some light on what it is showing. PFA

Cell type suggests Tuberculosis of pleura However ADA report is normal although it happens in Tuberculosis also. Repeat ADA can be done from a fresh sample of pleural fluid from a reputed biochemistry lab. CT scan chest, Montoux test and clinical picture altogether will decide whether to start TB treatment or not.
