Hello There, In this condition first of all restrict the leg movement and walking as much as possible. Secure the affected Ankle with 'Ankle Cap' to avoid swelling and major complications like ligament tear. Hot water Fomentation would give much relief. Elevate the affected leg approx 12-15 inches while sleeping by keeping 2-3 pillows below it; to reduce the swelling. Some NSAID and Muscle relaxant medications would cure the condition.
Next Steps
Visit to Orthopedic consultant soon for diagnosis and treatment.
Health Tips
Restrict afected leg movement.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  You should just take care not to put strain on it. Restrict all movements. You can take pain killers to deal with the pain. Consult a orthopedician in person for further evaluation and management. He will be able to help you further. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
