Tb medicine side effect diarrhoea?
My father is diabetes and he   suffered from pneumonia  2 Times in a year than diagnosed he suffering from tb. And medicine is started for 45 days. Nowadays (after 22day taking medicines ) his motion is not under control, more frequently and with mucous.also ketone is increase to the normal So is this only side effects of Tb medicine or else please help me ASAP.

Hi. I understand your concern s. In diabetes an infection makes sugar to go uncontrolled and vice versa so it is better to continue medications for TB so that infection comes under control and keep a regular follow up with your treating doctor for diabetes management.

Tuberculosis and Diabetes mellitus worsens each other. As diabetes is immunosuppressive state, it increase chances of all infections including tuberculosis. Tubercular infection causes stress, worsening of sugar levels which may lead to intestinal infection, diarrhoea.

you need to complete the tb treatment course. insulin is better in active tb when compared to oral hypoglycemics. you need to monitor grbs regularly, and take required dose of insulin, and treatment for intestinal infection.
