Taste buds
Hello Dr. I got tonsillectomy done on 16th March,2016. Its been a month since my tonsillectomy...but still my taste buds are not back to normal...I can't taste any food properly...my tongue in appearance looks normal. Please suggest!

Please use this app to find & consult another ENT Surgeon who will examine you and help diagnose your problem as taste is never affected by tonsillectomy. If anything it should get enhanced especially if adenoids are removed.

Hello, loss of taste sensation is one of the complication of tonsillectomy ....its subjective feeling sometimes , due to local anesthesia which blocks the sensation of tongue one may feel tastelessness.... you have to consult operated ENT surgeon regarding the query .
