Take 2 pills of half dosage instead of 1

Asked for Male, 26 Years

Say I have to take pill of dosage 1000 mg. But I am not getting pill with that kind of dosage but pill with 500 mg dosage is available. Is it ok to take take 2 pills of 500 mg at the same time to compensate for the drug requirement for 1000 mg at one time. The pill is Valcivir.
