Swollen tonsils with white spots. soreness is minimal. on a scale of 1 to 10, soreness is a 0.5 or 1. I also spit out mucus. these are my only symptoms. I would prefer not to take antibiotics, however im not opposed to the idea. also It has been two days since the first signs of swelling. can I continue to use herbal remedies since I am asymptomatic.

You may be looking at whitish debris over tonsils which is not really abnormal. If you don't have any symptoms such as throat pain and difficulty in swallowing then you can wait before taking any medication. You can try doing salt water gargling
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
