Swollen legs and fingers
My father's legs an hand fingers are swollen. One of the physician referred to undergo uric acid test. Plz suggest the reason and treatment.

Hello There. I can understand your concern. whats his uric acid level you have not mentioned. uric acid crystals can deposit in the joint spaces and cause swelling and pain. uric acid is a metabolic product of certain proteins. ask him to restrict his protein intake and then based on the reports, the uric acid lowering agents can be prescribed.
