Swelling in forefinger (near nail)
During household chores my mom hurt her forefinger it's been 4 days there has been swelling around her nail. She had applied mupi ointment and have cleaned using dettol. There is no opening or blood or puss that can be seen outside. She has no pain (tingling) but when touched the pain exists. Refer snapshots. Kindly help with a treatment/ medicine. She is scared of visiting a dr now due to covid situation.

Hii, This is an infection of tissue surrounding nail bed called as paronychia.

Diagnosis - Paronychia Means infection , will develop pus soon . Nothing to worry T. Ceftum 250 mg twice a day for 3 days T. Combiflam Half thrice a day for 3 days All after meals Relax .

if you see pus , open it she will be ok
