As age is 50 i would advise u to take a Ayurveda medicines....see Swollen legs may be pitting and non pitting causes may be different as u r saying that no breathlesness means so we can exclude Anemia...But she has BP also so i think one thing u have to check for CCF but again breathlesness is not there...to exclude these u observe ur  neck and of both the side there is one vein when we stretch our neck if these vein is larger in size means palpating prominently then there is chance for CCF...obeserve ur neck amd ur mom neck if it is so then u will find the difference...see i m also prescribing medicine for High BP along with swelling of ur  leg it will help in both and u can see results with in 2 to 3 days...because modern medicines will control her BP but it will increase the effects on her organs as her age is 50 i would like to advise to take these medicines...

Nagardi churna + jatamnasi + parwala...nagardi and jatamansi take 5 tsp and pravala 1 tsp mix all and take half tsp twice a day... 4.Chandraprabha vati 2 tab twice a day.. 5. Purnarnavaashtaka kwatha 3 tsp medicine with 3 tsp luke warm water... 6. Arjuna + patola + nimba + triphala + musta + vatsaka + manukka...take Arjuna 20 gm rest all 5 gm mix all and take 1 tsp twice a day.. 7. Dashanga lepa for local application over legs...

Avoid overdrinking of water drink nly when u have thirst.. avoid indigestion... apply creep bandage on swollen leg... try to give less pressure over leg....
