Suffering from Tinnitus
I have been suffering from Tinnitus for a month now. I think it started when I went to the highest peak in Germany. Was fine till I was in the snow, but while coming down I had a very bad ear pain maybe coz if altitude sickness (I do have) but this was the worst. I went to a ENT specialist, she prescribed audiometry test, which am yet to do. Is there a permanent cure for this ? Not like hearing aids .. I mean a permanent cure for real!!??

There are many causes for tinnitus such as sensory neural hearing loss, eustachian tube dysfunction, chronic otitis media, tumors etc. In your case it may be due to eustachian tube dysfunction secondary to otitic barotrauma. Usually it will improve over time. Get pure tone audiogram and tympanogram for confirmation of diagnosis
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
