Sudden hairfall
Hello doctor, I'm aged about 32 years I'm noticing a sudden hair fall in the front just close to my forehead. I'm really worried coz none in our family is bald both Mom side and dad side. I'm seeing this difference since last 15 days. I have a feeling it can be because, I have changed the shampoo for last 2 months, changed my hair oil and been using old unused two wheeler helmet. I'm also under severe stress physically and mentally. I a bit depressed too over job change. Please let me know what to do. Please help me.

Hi. Greetings. Lots of details that you have given... All of which point to two possibilities - one is possible acute telogen effluvium - due to external factors and stresses that you listed or an acute worsening of an existing androgenetic male pattern baldness if you were previously predisposed to it. I would still go with the former diagnosis, however any diagnosis can be made only after examining you personally and doing a Dermoscopy. For now : regularise your diet in terms of good nutritious food, start some form of exercise daily this will reduce stress also, keep stresses in check, avoid using harsh commercial shampoos and switch to milder medicated ones, see a qualified dermatologist in your city, consider prp therapy in discussion with him if necessary. For any further details you could follow up with me on follow up private chat. Hope this helps. Warm regards.
