Diabetes and hypertension are completely reversible conditions. Just by making changes in her diet the condition can be reversed and side effects of diabetes can be avoided. If the tablets are expensive then start giving her healthy foods heathy fats: avacados, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds supplements for: zinc, magnesium, selenium ( foods rich in these minerals will be a good option, else supplements) Vitamin d: 20 minutes sun bath Vita b12: supplements or alovera, fermented foods ( probiotics) Hope this helps. let me know if further help required.

What is your mom’s weight? Osteoarthritis can be a reason for knee pain at this age especially if overweight. You need to get her S.Uric acid and Serum Vit D levels checked as well. Can consult me for further help alongwith reports.
