Stress managing baby
Hi doctor, I have 1.5 yr old kid who is very active and sometimes it's difficult to manage I quit my job post delivery after which i always felt lonely. Also due to corona I am not going out at all I am thinking a lot and getting depressed and showing that anger on my kid. I beat him and I cried out loud out of guilt. I feel like people around me always put some blame on me(my parents and in-laws) I ignored many things but now I am not able to ignore any talk against me. Please advice.

Due to COVID , many kids and people are unable to channelise their energies. The routine where kids used to go out and play with other kids and friends. This process has reduced or stopped. Most kids have a lot of energy which is not being used . Please remember who is an adult in the relationship . Child will learn what you are performing now. If you are getting affected by the Enviornment . It’s time to seek professional help
Next Steps
Hitting a small child who is powerless will affect you and him in the long run. Children feel detached to their parents and move on due to many reasons . Hitting being one among that. The foundation today will shape your and child’s future . Please start your routine with the baby considering him your friends and not just responsibility. For family commenting and your mind management , I need to hear more to move forward with any further inputs. Please take care and stay happy

I went through ur problems... First thing if ur child z hyperactive, it means he is having more energy than a normal child of the same age group.... Just try to channelise his energy into productive activities so that his extra energy can be properly utilized And it becomes easier fir u to manage him..... If u will help him keeping engaged, it will help you also, so that u will not feel lonely.... Third thing which u discussed is actually because of the different underlying frustrations which needs to be assessed.....

Hi, I understand it can be tough to manage a baby during COVID. I understand the job situation is tough during COVID times. You are taking on the responsibility of looking after your kid and family. I understand you are feeling upset, stressed, and lonely. Do not worry you can consult a psychologist. A psychologist will help and guide you with ways to manage stress and feel calm. It is important to remember that you are doing your best to look after your baby during these difficult times.
