Took 5 doses of azithromicyn after local doctor prescription because of a strep throat. Although I am feeling better in general (not feeling sick) and one tonsil is strep-free, the other has a huge, single white spot in it for about 3 days with no changes in size (0.5cm). It previously had lots of tiny spots. Lymph nodes nearby are swollen. Throat is reddish and sometimes aching. Pain when swallowing. Cotton swab wasn’t able to remove the spot.

Could be a tonsillar keratotic plug. Needs reassessment to chek the need for extended therapy & to confirm or rule out a surgical need for cure. ( Recurrent or chronic tonsillitis needs surgery if meds fail)
