Hi there...there are a number of causes for left sided abdominal pain like gastritis, appendicitis, intestinal obstruction, kidney stones, pancreatitis. Any signs of vomiting, haematuria, increase in pain on bending downwards? Also hardening of stools could be due to summer eating to increase water loss. Try to take plenty of fluids and pantoprazole plus domperidone tablets(before food, once daily). Also consult a general surgeon for further evaluation and tests
