Steroids and antibodies
Can steroids lower the level of existing antibodies? Suppose a person had been infected with HIV 6-7years back. And then after 6-7years he does a 4th generation CMIA antigen and antibody test of HiV. But while doing the test he was on steroids. Can steroids reduce the level of existing antibodies and cause a false negative?
