Steroid and tapering
I have been on a steroid and antibiotic combination eye drop for last 5 days named KITMOX-LD(steroid-loteprednol etabonate 5 mg) in my left eye for bacteral conjuctivitis. I was prescribed this eye drop for 10 days(4 drop a day). I got to know the tapering of steroid eye drop is most important.please tell me how to do it.i have completed 4 days out of 10 day. Please explain in detail the tapering process and time and doses. Note-I have been on an antibiotic drop and a antibiotic gel before this drop for 10 days. I have been planning to taper it by 3 drop on 5th,6th day then 2 drop on 7th,8th day and 1 drop for 9th,10th day. Please advise me and explain I can't go to the doctor due to corona hotspot around my area.

Hi... If I is bacterial conjunctivitis you are being treated for then antibiotic drops are enough (which you have taken). A mild steroid and antibiotic combination maybe given to reduce the residual inflammation if any. So for such a small duration, tapering of steroids drops is not mandatory.
Next Steps
Use drops as advised, then stop.
