Stealing things
I am not quite proud with I am doing and I want to stop it and I plan on doing that but I always go back to it. I cannot help it and I do it and regret later on. I used to steal when I was a kid and my parents taught me so many lessons and for some years I stopped doing it. Like I stopped but then this year I don't know what is wrong with me. I know it is wrong and I know I should stop it but I do it again and again and it happened so many times and it's my fault. I just want help desperately. I am scared if this becomes something big and affects my life and my family's. Please help me.

Hello dear Practo user, you have described your problem perfectly. It's very good gesture from your side. First of all its a neurosis spectrum condition termed as kleptomania. Involuntary and unnecessary stealing items which is followed by relief in anxiety. You need to be evaluated in details by psychiatrist first and if required you can take therapy sessions also.
Next Steps
Consult psychiatrist first.
