V Pattern squint Exotropia in Right Eye Right Eye - lazy eye Squint from birth Only using left eye for vision. Q 1. To correct the pattern - How many muscles Need to be operated? Q 2. Will there be any complications? If yes then what? Q 3. Is it advisable for surgery with any possible complications? Please provide answers in detail if possible. Hello A. Number of muscles depends on amount of squint which is assessed with prism bar cover test B. It is very safe surgery.... complications are less common C. Surgery is advisable and only treatment

The  number of muscles ,of one or both eyes and extent of recovery depend upon the cause of pattern ie whether it is central or muscular.
