I many times wake up at night many times with blocked nose feeling breathless..
I feel at least 1 nostril blocked at that time..
It happens only when I sleep and not when I am awake lying down..
Not sure what this is.. I am being treated for high bp as well at present.

obstructive sleep apnoea is a diseases where there will be temporary obstruction to your breathing thus reduced oxygen concentrations in your followed by sudden awakening and deep breathing to compansate for the same. it usually occurs due to many causes including weak throat muscles, obesity, huge enlargement of tonsils and adenoids, and space occupying lesion of nose and throat
usuall symptoms of this condition include
daytime sleepiness, generalised weakness, inability to concentrate, loud snoring
your awakening usually won't be known to you and usually informed by your partner who sleeps alongside you
your symptoms are not suggestive of sleep apnoea but points towards nasal obstruction with mouth breathing and likely lung related ailment mostly allergy
consult a nearby ENT specialist for further evaluation
