Asked for Female, 17 Years

I can see dermatographia like symptoms in my sister for the past few weeks. Whenever her skin itches and she scratches that part the area becomes red and the lines can be seen clearly. It stays for about 30 mins and then they disappear. Although we haven't consulted any doctor yet. Is this a serious problem?
