It is a general belief that oily skin is prone to acne, but it is a myth that Only oily skin is prone to acne. For a healthy skin the pH and oil balance must be optimum. By thinking that excess oil is bad for the skin and to eliminate the risk of acne due to oily skin, we subject out skin to various treatments and make it dry, which is also unnatural. The secretion of sebum (or natural oils of skin) has a purpose, it keeps the skin flexible, thus less prone to brittleness and breakage, it creates a protective layer on the skin thus saving it from the attack of harmful microbes in the air. But, this sebum also collects dust and pollution from the air thus we must always wash our face and hands after coming home. And NEVER rub with towel to dry, but gently press the towel, specially if you have acne you should not rub as it may make the acne worse. For people with naturally dry skin, the treatment of skin will surely be different. You can apply natural substances like raw, unboiled milk, just take a teaspoon full of milk and gently rub it on the face with circular movements. Make it get absorbed, then wash your face with a gentle face wash. Avoid soap. Alternately you can use besan and mix it with malai or raw milk and wash your face with it everyday. It will give you the needed creaminess. You must also look into the products you use on your face, like sunscreen, or shaving cream and observe if those are the culprits causing acne. Change to some other brand and observe. You can use Amway products, they are mild and hypoallergenic. I personally use them and being the owner of a very sensitive skin myself, I can say they work well!
The next step would be to choose a light moisturizer for your face, please never apply body lotion to your face. Chose a cream or lotion specially for the face, it should be less greasy so that you can apply it after every time you wash your face. You stay hydrated, it's a very good practice, I shall ask you to continue that and also, add cucumber water to your daily water intake. Find the process online or send me a private question.
The last and final step would be to heal yourself from within. Take neem and tulsi capsules for atleast 3 months, or take Safi. Both options are blood purifying. In the beginning you may feel that acne is more, due to neem or Safi intake, but worry not, because that is the manner in which your body may eliminate the toxins from within.
Incorporate atleast 15 mins of yoga n pranayam I'm your routine. Surya bhedi naadi shodhan is best for skin ailments. Stay stress free and enjoy a healthy skin.
Needless to say that a balanced diet is must for a healthy body, skin and hair included. And Fibre rich diet cleans you from within.
Donot lose hope and patience, any treatment takes time to show result, so whatever treatment you take, the one I suggested or the once suggested by my other doctor friends, stick to it for a few months and have faith.
All the best.
Please use Tea tree oil which is excellent for treating acne and pimples. It has antibacterial properties that help fight the bacteria that cause these skin problems.
Plus, its soothing properties help reduce the redness and inflammation of pimples. It also helps dry out blackheads and whiteheads.
⢠Just dip a cotton ball in tea tree essential oil and dab it on the affected area. Rinse your face after 15 to 20 minutes.
Note: Steer clear of tea tree oil if you have sensitive skin.
Also note that you should not use cosmetics which is not suiting you/no experiment on skin.
Also avoid too much exposure of AC/direct fan.
Drink water according to your thirst only - no excess water/3 litres.
