Acne at your age is mostly due to hormonal factors in addition to other environmental factors. You need to take a complete course of appropriate anti acne treatment. A good skin care regime that is meticulously tailored for your skin is a must to keep acne breakouts under control. Also , few blood tests might be necessary depending on your severity. Provide with photos and a detailed evaluation is needed so that appropriate treatment can be given to you accordingly.

If the acne are recurring post treatment, then any underlying metabolic syndrome needs to ruled out, especially insulin resistance, since it’s the most common cause of recurring acne. You need to physically consult a dermatologist for the same, so that he/she can rule out insulin resistance either by physical examination or by getting the relevant tests done.
