Side effects slurred spech
The doctor added Risperidone 0.5 to my medication. After taking it, my speech became slurred. When I spoke to the doctor, he said it was a side effect and stopped the medication. How long will it take for my speech to return to normal? It's been 7 days since I stopped taking it. Sometimes it gets better and sometimes it becomes slurred. Please help

Risperidone can rarely cause slurred speech via sedation/EPS. After 7 days, persistent symptoms need medical reassessment.

It should be getting better any time, usually it takes 7 days but in some people it can take longer. It should get better if not then consult online
