My family have sickle cell anemia in their genes from mother's side. Though my mother is not suffering from the above problem, i wanted to check whether i am infected from it to or no or Either have a recessive trait of it. I am getting married in few months. Is there any possibility my children would get the same? What is the possibility of this passing to my next generation if I am not a carrier. What tests do i need to perform to ensure it?
