Asked for Male, 26 Years

I had an attack of acute hepatitis and it subsided down . The last check showed normal levels of billirubin and sgot. sgpt level was 63 and the doctor told me to stop medicines and take rest. After twenty days checked again due to fatigue. Now the sgpt shows an increased level of 93.

The reference range for ALT is 20-60 IU/L...Conditions associated with slightly high levels of ALT are as follows: Fatty change in the liver Alcohol abuse Cirrhosis Mononucleosis Drugs (ie, statins, aspirin, barbiturates, HIV medication, herbs)...be in regular fallow up with your treating doctor they will do the needful.
