Severe tooth pain with no infection
2 weeks have had severe pain in a molar. Dentist did do an x-ray said there was no infection/abscess yet he said to pull it anyway along with the tooth next to it. What could possibly be causing such severe pain if there is no infection? I don't want the tooth pulled if its healthy as its 1 of 2 molars I have left. He did prescribe an antibiotic

If there is no infection or caries , there are chances of tooth sensitivity which is leading to pain , have a second opinion with a dentist and he might suggest for Root canal treatment if sensitivity is the cause , your tooth can be saved if u don't have infection , caries , mobility , kindly consult endodontist once
