Severe throat pain
Symptoms started showing since yesterday night and it's getting worse by now. Difficulty in swallowing, even saliva. Swelling under left side of the jaw. Pain in left ear since morning. Can't open mouth fully to even speak. Booked an appointment at 3pm since doctor is only available then. Any suggestions are welcome.

Drink plenty of water,eat soft foods like cooked cereal, mashed potatoes, soft fruits, yogurt and soft-cooked eggs...give adequate rest to your body..Avoid spicy foods or acidic foods. Gargle with warm salt water. gargling several times a day can help relieve throat pain....you will require antibiotics to clear up infection..Consult your doctor at scheduled time they will do the needful.
