Severe Pain in lower urinart tract

Hi, my father is 76 year old and having ckd and hypertension. He is frequently experiencing pain in lower ut while urinating as well as other time. Some times he experience continuous severe pain in urethra. What may be reason and any tablet to lower the pain immediately
