Severe Osteoarthritis
My grandmother aged 85 yrs is suffering from severe osteoarthritis since last many many years. Her doctor is recommending to take Hylasto S(Hyaluronic acid) injections in her knees. Will they be effective considering their cost?

It depends on xray of patient and what grade of arthritis is there

Hello Practo User, At this age the arthritis is in advanced stage. So any injections or medications intended to regenerate cartilage will not help. So the answer is NO. Try modifying her life style and take precautions,which will help her ease pain. Regards.
