Septic and sent home - swelling
My daughter was admitted to a local hospital and diagnosed as septic 8 days ago. She tested negative for endocarditis. She was being treated with Vancomycin and another antibiotic, and was sent home 3 days ago with IV Vancomycin to be administered by her through a PIC line.Over the weekend, her left foot has become swollen (her left leg and spleen were also found to be swollen while still in the hospital). There is also swelling in her right hand, which had begun to go down in the hospital.
