Im myself a mbbs graduate from russia .My father gets a seizure kind of episode whenever he gets painful stimulus( stomach pain,injury).he becomes unconscious associated with jerks ,tongue bitting and upward rolling of eyeball.he had his 1st epsiode 4 years ago and the 2nd one was 5 days back.we consulted a general physician in a local hospital .they prescribed levetiracetam tablet and diagnosed it for status epilepticus .for further investigation they suggested to consult with a neurologist. What would be the diagnosis and is it ok to continue levetiracetam untill next consultation.
