Why we need to drink water before scanning? Example I did a pelvis scan, the scan is in uterus but why we need to drink water? The water will go into stomach n bladder only right?

Hello.well I understand your query maam...well pelvic scan is done to see the pelvic organs. .i agrree that water will go to stomach and bladder...but in ultrasound scan we can visualise the uterus well only in case of distended bladder... otherwise it wond be clear...hence we advice to keep full bladder ..thank you
