Salmonella induced via cut
I found that my freezer had stopped working so I was throwing away some raw chicken that was completely room temperature and I don’t know for how long. Afterwards I realized I had a small cut (about 1 cm big) on my hand. I washed my hands very thoroughly after handling the chicken, but I didn’t notice the cut until 30 minutes later. I cleaned my cut with hydrogen peroxide and put some antibacterial ointment on it. Can I get salmonella poisoning via a cut? Should I be concerned about this?

Salmonella is mostly spread by feco oral route , it's not usually spread through a cut or wound . Two things you have to take care if it's a deep wound and you haven't taken TT injection recently, kindly do it within 24 hours . If the wound is bleeding so much kindly consult the ER doctor else if you can provide a photo then may be able to tell if suturing needed or dressing is enough .
