Saliva/mucos choking during sleep
I get lot if saliva excretion while sleeping as I feel my mouth n wind pipe dried up & swallow saliva for this reason.
Sometimes this causes saliva or mucos entering windpipe in deep sleep & I wake up suddenly due to choking & unable to breathe. Only after standing up & after struggling badly, I am able to breathe normally.
This sometimes fears me of choking to death while I am about to sleep. I am allergic to cough. Kindly consult

Consult a physician who will examine you in detail. You could ask him if you need to do a sleep study to r/o OSA (Obstructive sleep apnoea).
