My mother is diabetic § hypertensive and has history of grade 2 diastolic dysfunction (EF-60%). She is having medicines for both diebetes and hypertension along with diuretics. In her recent check up we found her
Uric Acid level is 10.3 and she was prescribed with Febuxostat 80mg to lower the uric acid. My query is, will it be safe to give Febuxostat 80 to a heart patient? There are warnings on the drug about it being not safe for heart patients. Really appreciate if someone can help me on my query above.
