Sacral dimple in baby
My baby is 16 months old... She has pit near her buttock crease ... I was not knowing abt it that is is call sacral dimple. ..somehow I was scrolling internet yesterday and saw images of babies with this pit near buttocks... I searched on google and got scared ... Even my pediatrician ddn told me abt this...not even when she had neonatal exam at birth ...nothing was said... I am worried... My baby is extremely happy child... Playful active... She crawls well...cruises along bed wall furniture... Gets up and down from bed... Now from few day she is taking 2 3 steps... But when we keep her stand and wen she stands with some support like bed our hand cushions .. She stands up and takes few steps...she has not yet stood up by supporting floor. Yes she tries to by keeping her buttocks high up in air... I want to know abt tht sacral dimple which she has...is it worrisome... I am attaching picture of the same...plzz docs help me out ..

As long as her overall development is good nothing to worry about. Based on pictures it looks like a pit . Not a sinus . So not to worry if the child development is good
