Hello Doctor,
What is the role of HS CRP and is it advisable to include in routine health check up. Does this test also give the indication of previous silent heart attack and will it get elevated if the person has cardiac issue.
Thanks in advance for your response

It does not show previous silent attacks. It is a marker of vascular inflammation in your body it just predicts future probability of having heart disease. It is one of the risk factors just like cholesterol. You can include it in your routine testing but it is a non specific marker
