My father is 66 yrs old and had been diabetic for the past 15 years. He also takes medication for high bp. His blood
sugar, blood pressure and
lipid profile is in normal. We have a family history of heart attack. Owing to his prolonged history of
diabetes, does he still need to take any medication ( like a blood thinner) as a preventive measure for heart attack? What is the best test to detect a risk for heart attack?
Thanks.
