Right hand and leg not functioning

Asked for Female, 87 Years

Mother 87 yr. suddenly lost energy of right hand and leg one month ago though started to speak clearly. Swelling in right hand . Right hand and leg not functioning though sensation there. Bed ridden , can't sit. Takes only liquid diet. Advise please for diet and treatment for illness.
