Retina detachment and vision after 40yrs
Hi, My dad lost his eye sight completely because of an accident when he was 17.Retina detachment was the cause.Back then there was no technological advancement. My grandparents couldnt do much and hence,my dad stayed blind for these many years. He's 68 now.Can he get his vision back through any surgical procedure. He spent all his life in darkness.Just wishing he could see atleast partially for some more years.

Is it in both eyes ? Unfortunately , this is too late to plan anything...the neural tissue also degenerate , even if u get structural integrity. But for specific advice, better to show to Eye doctor..Retina specialist
