It depends on how as personality you are.and how mature you are in understanding.if you can take it up from broader perspective that it's individual past and you have no role to play in it.need to discuss  in detail

'Opening Pandora's box' is a phrase that is used in English language for gathering unnecessary and harmful personal information about someone, the outcome of which will always be hurt, jealousy, damaged trust etc. When one opens a Pandora's box, closing it becomes difficult because we will not be able to stuff everything back into it. Everyone in this world (including you and I) has a hidden self (ref: Johari Window). Allowing everyone (including those closest to you) to have and maintain that hidden self guarantees the much needed peace of mind both ways and shows the person's emotional maturity.  Achieving a state of mind in which we do not become too inquisitive about the Johari Window's "hidden self" of someone else, however the person concerned may be closely connected, is difficult but not impossible. Please be aware that the dividend we get out of such an outlook in life is huge, in terms of peace of mind, trust, companionship, belongingness, friendship etc.

Not everyone likes to share everything about their past. Some want to take things to the grave, while others are OK with divulging every detail about their history. No matter how much you’re willing to share, remember that every relationship is unique. But there are certain things from your past that made you who you are today. Telling your partner about those is important to build a strong connection.
