Regarding nasal decongestant spray
Hello, I am in the phase of early pregnancy. In winter my nostrils will be blocked mostly at night and sometimes in the day also. Due sinus allergy I get sneezing and hence nostrils get blocked. Always I used to spray otrivin once on such days , that would relieve me instantly. But during pregnancy Otrivin is not safe I heard. Im feeling kinda asthmatic wheezing as I am not able to breath from my nose properly.  So I feel very fatigue always. I dont have cold or cough, but just blocked nostrils and breathlessness due to that. Could anyone please suggest me pregnancy safe decongestant nasal spray ( SALINE SPRAY IS NOT WORKING) Thank you. !

Hi..In this state of pregnancy, saline nasal spray is the safest for you. You can take some steam inhalation by putting vicks/ solvin vapocaps inside the water. That will relieve the blocked nose. Do not use otrivin. You can take Levocetrizine 10 mg once at night only after confirming with your gynaecologist.

Do not self medicate without consulting your gynaecologist
