it is important for you to understand that any medicine except multivitamins which is given to children have side effects on the child. they should not be given on daily basis but should be given only when required. meet your doctor who will tell you what is the indication and how many times it can be given. (this applies to anti-colic medicines as well as digestive medicines/ enzymes, gripe water, bonnisan, gutti etc of any branch that is allopathic or homoeopathic or ayurvedic).
Next Steps
it is not advisable to give gripe water to the child on the regular basis because at the end it is a type of medicine which will help in decreasing the colic pain and improve digestion but yes it has got side effects so do not give this without medical consultation. it contains sodium bicarbonate as well as plenty of sugars which has got side effects for such a small child.
