Hie Anjali here.. My husband is a victim of diabetes 2 years ago .. Since then he is been taking insulin .. He has type 2 diabetes.
Can he ever eat sweet or always have to be on sugar free..?

HI Anjali,
I understand your concern.Its a myth that diabetic patients should never have sugar or sweets.At the end of the day there is a life to live outside diabetes.You should be able to control diabetes with the help of your diabetologist and not the other way round.He can have sweets occassionally ( in limited quantity) and as long as he monitors his blood sugars.There is also something called DAFNE ( dose adjustment for normal eating ) which we use to help diabetes patients lead a normal life.
