Regarding addiction and lacking purpose
Not looking for a replacement for professional help through this question, but any advice helps. Since 2020 I've had been pretty ill and my physical health has been completely deteriorated, and now it feels like I might as well not live longer. For this reason anything in my life from studies to social life seems just nor worth it. I've also gotten a bad addiction of pornographic content and it is just something I hate now. Initially it was just a way to pop the bubble of overwhelming sadness but now it has become a really bad daily habit which is hollowing my personality as well as my mind. I know it's something I've caused but the consequences has been so out of my control I'm in an urge to get help. Thanks for reading and for any advice (if you have any).

Based on the information you have provided, it looks like you have a very reduced hedonic drive, and to seek some reward, you have developed pornographic addiction, which only gives a momentary surge of dopamine in reward circuits of brain and then there is a void. To fill it up, one tends to redo the past action that gave them a sense of fulfilment, in your case watching porn does that. Thus, it’s just like addiction to any substance. Your impulse control circuit is malfunctioning, secondly you seem be suffering from depression with declining executive functioning and lethargy. Your brain controls other body functions and any defect in homeostasis affects body and brain equally. Given the reason of ill health, needs evaluation of what exactly you are suffering from. Any infection or any autoimmune condition, any hormonal disorder etc.
Next Steps
Consult your psychiatrist, impulse control medicines, antidepressants and stimulants will be really helpful in your case.
Health Tips
You may as well consider talking to a clinical psychologist along with your Routine psychiatric medication.
