Recovering from quinsy
Had laryngitis end jan then sore throat for 10 days then quinsy two weeks ago. Had needle aspiration, drew 2ml pus. On iv fluids, antibiotics, paracetamol, codeine, steroid injections. Home after 2 days. Went to doctors week later given 2 new antibiotics as still felt unwell, Abscess had reduced by 50%. Week later, still feel rough. Abscess doesn’t seem to have gone down any further. Mouth gets dry, yellow tongue, extremely tired, hot flushes, headache, discomfort in throat, no appetite.

Quincy or peritonsillar abscess is usually treated by aspiration of pus and antibiotic. If you don't have any severe throat pain then you need not worry as persistent abscess will be extremely painful. You can get a ultrasound of neck to confirm the diagnosis
