What are the other reasons for boils on back side of the head other than diabetes. Is diabetic genetic??? Because my mother-in-law & her maternal family has diabetes. I'm specifing diabetes because I got questions that is he diabetic?

Yes type 2 diabetes is genetic..and it is the most common cause of boils
But any immunocompromised state...excessive sweating , poor hygiene ..all can cause it..

Boils could be due to infection caused by bacteria, and can form abscess as well.
