My father is 63 old. He is recently complaining lot of fatigue. He had pneumonia a month back. Physician ordered a RBS and it came out 196. During his hospitalization during pneumonia, his rbs was arround 130 to 140.
Is he prediabtic?. What other tests we can do to confirm this

Just a single reading of RBS -196 is not conclusive of diabetes mellitus.
Kindly get FBS, PPBS for knowing the current status and HbA1C to know the past 3 month sugar levels.
These tests along with physical examination by a physician will help in arriving at a diagnosis.
