Hello doctor ..
On October 22 , 2023
my father got a fresh bleeding cut on his fingers on morning , then we gave food to a stray dog which was hungry and it ate well ...
My father picked the leftovers of the stray dog's and disposed it .
He didn't wash his hands but instead applied sanitizer all over his hands but I believe he would have had that stray dogs saliva on his wound .
( Wound was probably 2 hrs old when it was exposed and my father is diabetic patient )
( Its been 50+ days )
Should I have to get him vaccinated ?
I saw that dog ate that food well ... So I don't whether it was rabid or not Is it recommended to take the shots ?

According to the History it doesn't not look like a Rabid dog..so nothing to worry..but if you frequently work with strays better to take two doses of AntiRabies vaccine as a preventive..
